I haven't felt like writing BSG for a while, but it turned out the Leland issue was too tempting to resist...so I quickly knocked something together.

Well, that's it for me and Torchwood, I think.  Which is a pity, because I enjoyed the first half of this series a lot.  However after this I don't think I can be bothered to watch any more.



So I think it's goodbye to Torchwood.  I gave it two series (and I nearly gave up after the finale of the last series, which was also disappointing) and that's enough.  There's too much else to watch.

On better news, the new series of Doctor Who starts tomorrow night.  I'm looking forward to seeing how Catherine Tate works out as the new companion, particularly as apparently there will be no romantic tension between them, which makes me cheer.  I'm an old school Who fan who doesn't really like all the Companion romance.  I could never see what made Rose more special than the other Companions, and the Martha mooning annoyed me no end because it ruined her promising character, IMO.

And finally BSG - I thought it was airing in the UK next Tuesday, but it turns out they're showing Razor then and the new episode is the week after.  That's surprisingly little time lag compared to previous seasons though, so I'm happy.  The short time lag means I will watch it on UK TV pace, so I will be a little late to all the discussions and please don't spoil me! :)

I enjoyed helen_c's latest BSG fic so much that I have to rec it to those of you who haven't yet read it - especially as it's Lee/Kara, which I know most of my friends list enjoy!

The two parts of the story are really two separate stories looking at alternative versions of their life on Earth - part one is light and funny, part two dark and angsty, so something for everyone's taste.

Just watched the first episode of the new Torchwood series, which provided additional proof that any TV series can be improved 100% by hiring James Marsters. 

But I still can't stand Gwen.  Definitely in my top ten of Most Annoying TV Character Ever.
